Epic Tales is another fun book to read with your toddler. It is full of colorful pages that provide an opportunity for the children to guess what type of animal the tails belong to. The children are having so much fun, they don't even realize they are learning.
The book is beautifully illustrated and provides a fun experience for both the adult and the child reading the book. Lilly really enjoyed this and loved seeing all of the animals. She is three so she recognized most of the animals the first time we read through the book.

My four year old loves this book, and makes a game out of guessing the animal by its tail (even though he almost knows the book by heart). Well done!
All right book. Rhyming is very elementary and pictures are ok. Good for younger kids. Maybe 2 and younger. Not bad but the pictures are too small. They barely take up a third of the page so it feels weird reading on a kindle.
Colorful, short, just a funny story to spend time with your little one. Each character has a quality about it, even the boy reveals himself at the end.
Both of my kids aged 2 and 5 love to "read" this book. After I read it once, they were able to fill in the blanks and now can read it on their own by guessing the animals! Looks better in color than on my !
I liked being able to show my less then 2 year old granddaughter this book as I read it to her. It was short enough to keep her attention and big enough pictures for her to see well, even though it was black and white.
And no, I'm not talking about a male deer that got into some hunters' natty light. Let me assure you that if I spend 99 cents in the store for a kid's book I do not have high expectations. For instance, I do not expect Robert McCloskey prose, Eric Carle art, or even the whimsical weirdness of Margaret Wise Brown. I do, however, expect illustrations that fill more than one and a half square inches of my screen and look better than what a 6-year-old would produce using Microsoft Paint. I also expect a story that seems at least deliberate, if not remotely good, unique or poetic.
So, my apologies to Xavier, but this was one of the worst cheapo purchases I have ever made on , and have no idea how it got any decent reviews at all. Buyer beware.
This is a very short picture book which basically puts on the page part of an animal and asks whose tail is this before revealing the animal in full on the next page. All the animals inside are on the cover, the book is over pretty quick, a few extra animals may have made it better value. A bit of fun or one page sentence is added to increase the enjoyment of the book when each animal is revealed. The illustrations are quite simple and the animal always looks non threatening which makes it more child friendly I guess but the sentence saying the snake looks mean a bit inappropriate as it doesn't match. If Epic Tails had a few more animals I'd probably rate it half or a full star more.
